The textile work of artist Sarah Morrish, focuses on the natural world and landscape. She works as a natural history illustrator and tutor, and in recent years she has extended her creative practice to explore and depict the wider environment through tapestry weaving and stitching.

Her work will often take a semi-abstract approach, inspired by history, habitats, colours, textures, shapes, sights and sounds found in the landscape to create intriguing pieces. She is also drawn to seasonal changes and colours, especially the warm, earthy tones, using a range of materials and media within her art.

Undyed yarn will often feature in her weaving, alongside yarn that she has spun herself using a drop spindle. Other fibres will also feature in her work such as nettle, hemp and paper yarns.
